Our Frequently Asked Questions section is here to assist you.

Ordering & Products

Q: What types of products do you offer? A: We offer two main categories of 3D printed products:

TTRPG & Gaming: High-quality miniatures, terrain pieces, dice towers, and game accessories from our licensed collections including “A Tale From The Deep,” “Night Blade,” and “Call of the Necromancer” series.

General 3D Printing: We can print virtually anything we have a file for – from practical household items and tools to decorative pieces, prototypes, replacement parts, educational models, and custom projects. Popular items include keychains, fidget toys, articulated dragons, organizational tools, and unique gifts.

Custom Printing Service: Bring us your STL file and we’ll print it for you using the appropriate materials and techniques for your project.

Our integrity prohibits us from printing anything that infringes upon another company’s intellectual property. All our licensed designs are fully authorized, and we only accept customer files that you own or have permission to print.

Q: Can you paint my miniatures for me? A: No, we don’t offer painting services. All miniatures are printed in ceramic grey resin, which is perfect for priming and painting yourself. This keeps our prices affordable while giving you complete creative control over your miniatures.

Q: Do you sell STL files? A: No, we only sell physical printed products. We have a lifetime STLFlix license that allows us to print these designs, but we cannot sell or distribute the digital files themselves.

Q: Can you modify existing designs or create custom miniatures? A: We only accept custom printing jobs for STL files that you provide. We cannot modify our licensed designs or create new miniatures from scratch.

Quality & Materials

Q: What materials do you use? A: We use high-quality RPG resin for miniatures and premium FDM filaments for larger items like terrain and dice towers. All products go through our quality control process including alcohol baths, hot water rinses, curing, and hand-sanding.

Q: What if my order arrives damaged or defective? A: We stand behind our quality. If any item arrives damaged or doesn’t meet our standards, we’ll replace it at no charge. Every product must meet the standard of “good enough for Rob to give as a gift” before it ships.

Q: How detailed are your miniatures? A: Our miniatures are printed at high resolution with fine detail preservation. With 40+ years of D&D experience, we understand what gamers need and ensure every miniature is table-ready with crisp details that paint beautifully.

Shipping & Delivery

Q: Do you ship internationally? A: No, we only ship within Canada. This allows us to keep shipping costs reasonable and delivery times fast for our Canadian customers.

Q: How much does shipping cost? A: Shipping is $25 flat rate anywhere in Canada, with expedited options available. Free local pickup is available in London, Ontario.

Q: How long does shipping take? A: Most orders ship within 3-5 business days of printing completion. Delivery times vary by province but typically range from 2-7 business days via Canada Post.

Q: Do you offer tracking? A: Yes, all shipped orders include tracking information sent to your email address.

Pricing & Discounts

Q: How do your prices compare to competitors? A: Our prices are actually lower than major competitors while maintaining higher quality. We focus on providing exceptional value – better products at better prices than what you’ll find elsewhere, including local game stores.

Q: Do you offer bulk discounts? A: We offer complete sets at better value than individual pieces. Our sets are priced lower than if you were to purchase each item separately.

Q: What payment methods do you accept? A: Online we accept all major credit cards through our secure checkout system. At pop-up markets, we accept cash, debit, and credit cards using our Square tap reader for convenient contactless payments.

Business & Licensing

Q: Are your designs legal and authorized? A: Absolutely. We operate under a lifetime STLFlix license, ensuring all our designs are fully authorized and genuine. Unlike some competitors, we don’t rebrand licensed content as original designs.

Q: Can I resell your products? A: Our products are intended for personal use and gaming. Commercial resale requires prior written permission.

Q: Do you work with local game stores? A: We focus on direct sales to customers rather than consignment arrangements. This allows us to maintain quality control and competitive pricing.

Technical & Production

Q: How are your miniatures made? A: We use a combination of 6 professional 3D printers – resin printers for detailed miniatures and FDM printers for larger terrain pieces. Each miniature undergoes extensive post-processing including cleaning, curing, and quality inspection.

Q: Can you rush my order? A: We maintain consistent production schedules to ensure quality. Contact us at info@kingfisher3dprinting.com if you have specific timing needs and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

Q: What if there’s a power outage during production? A: Production may be delayed during power outages as we don’t have backup power systems. We’ll communicate any delays promptly and adjust delivery estimates accordingly.
